I love crafting with my toddler, but I’m not a fan of the crazy messes! We’re always on the hunt for no mess painting projects! This no mess method is a new favorite and can be applied to so many themes. For fall we made these darling pumpkins for cards and a fun mummy creation!
It’s easy peasy and offers endless possibilities. I love a project that really allows my toddler to be in control – this one fits the bill!!
Supplies
- Craft paint in coordinating colors
- Box
- Small ball with weight to it – wood, marble, bouncy ball, etc
- Card stock cut into shape of choice
- Tape
Directions for No Mess toddler painting
1. Tape your shapes to the bottom of a box – great way to recycle here!
2. Add drops of paint around the shape.
3. Toss in the ball, then… shake, rattle and roll!! As the ball picks up paint it will carry it over the shapes. Go for full coverage or stripes. Let your little one decide!
4. Once dry, adhere to a precut greeting card, hang from a garland or decorate the walls!
I love that alllll the mess stays contained in the box. The ONLY time you get paint on your fingers is removing the ball to wash it off!
We used the same method for the mummy / just black card stock and white paint!
So what will you create? I’d love to see your creativity!
