A nice warm cup of hot tea is good for the soul. A spiced tea latte mix that takes minutes to prepare and give you a special warm drink for several days? Now that’s next level!

I’m reading through Grumpy Mom Takes a Holiday by Val Woerner with a group of mommas right now. Last week we discussed a chapter on self-care.
Self-care is a popular buzz word these days.
Though it looks different for every woman, the underlying point of those “self-care” moments is saying “I am worthy.”
I am worthy of 30 minutes to myself.
I am worthy of doing something just for me.
I am worthy of feeling recharged.
So to create a tangible reminder of these truths and carve out time for us to reset our minds, we made spiced tea latte mix in jar AKA Worthy Tea.
“Though days feel long and packed to the brim, always remember you are worth setting aside a few minutes to enjoy a hot cup of tea.”
While the mix is perfect for making just 1 jar to keep on hand in the chilly months, it is also the perfect large batch group activity.
For our bible study, we all made two jars. One for ourselves and one to give to a momma in our sphere of influence with the reminder that she is worthy!
I made a simple tag with instructions and the purpose of the tea. It’s available to download here if you’d like to use it for your group! Just print double sided on cardstock at actual size (do not check “fit to page” if prompted by the printer). Or print just the instruction side and add a personal note to the back.
This is the perfect activity for your bible study or small group. As we create together, conversation happens in a new way, friendships go deeper and we see the fruit of our efforts!
It took 5 of us about 30 minutes to make 14 jars. We had an assembly line going that worked wonders!
So whether you make this mix as a group activity, on your own to give as gifts (hello, teacher gifts!) or just a jar for yourself, I hope you remember just how worthy you really are – just for being you.
To make one 8oz jar (8 servings)
1/2 cup unsweetened instant iced tea mix
1/4 cup non-dairy powder creamer
8 teaspoons cinnamon sugar
4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
Measure and add all ingredients to a single serve blender cup. Pulse to mix and blend to a fine consistency. Pour mix into pre-washed/dried 8oz mason jar.
To make spiced tea latte, pour 8oz hot water over 2 tablespoons mix. Stir and enjoy!
To make twelve 8oz jars
2 – 32oz containers unsweetened instant iced tea mix
1 – 16oz container non-dairy powder creamer
3 – 5.75oz containers cinnamon sugar
4 – 1.25oz containers pumpkin pie spice
Make each jar individually as directed above.
Note 1: The only way to get all of the ingredients to fit in the 8oz jar is to blend them up. The finer consistency will also help the mix dissolve, making for a better latte!
Note 2: Did you know pumpkin pie spice has nothing to do with pumpkin??? It’s just a certain blend of seasonings used to make pumpkin pie. While you can purchase those spices individually, the jar of pumpkin pie spice is much more cost effective!
Enjoy!
