Welcome to The Explore Collection!
When I set out to create The Explore Collection The Explore Collection evolved on it’s own. After picking up a paint brush in April, I viewed my work and art in a new light. I began to explore this creative outlet. Use of color vs monochromatic, layering vs blending, abstract vs high detail – I explored the capabilities of a brush and some paint.
Every time I set up the easel, my mind was instantly drawn to a memory or photo from one of our recent exploring adventures. I love vacation and the idea of stepping out of our routine to make new memories. Even more, I love bringing those new experiences home and working them into our usual routine. The ability to capture those moments on a canvas to preserve for lifetimes to come is magical to me.
It has been a summer of exploring the process… exploring with my little family… and exploring my heart one canvas at a time.
As a stay at home mom, these paintings have come to life during my son’s afternoon nap time. While some were completed in one sitting, others over the course of several naps. They represent the strength and capability of mothers, as well as the importance of maintaining our passions.
