It’s not October until all of the fall and pumpkin goodies hit the Trader Joe’s shelves! And if you’re a seasoned Trader Joe’s shopper, you know they go FAST! So if you find a favorite, jump back in the car and go stock up.
My little guy and I took one for the team and purchased {almost} every fall product we could find. I skipped the items I knew my family wouldn’t enjoy, so this post does not include the maple flavor items and some more obscure pumpkin spice offerings.
We’ve found some really great Trader Joe’s products to enhance our fall experience. Read on below for my rating for each!
Pecan Pumpkin Instant Oatmeal 9/10
This is a repeat product and I am so glad! I’m not a regular oatmeal eater, but this sure is a delightful fall treat in the morning. Perfect pumpkin flavor, crunchy pecans and oh so easy. It’s just a tad sweet for my liking which is why I’m giving it a 9. I’ll have to get another box to get me through the season 🙂
Fall Leaf Corn Tortilla Chips 9/10
Holy CUTE! When I laid my eyes on these babies I quickly grabbed two. The shape and color just scream fall! The colors are created with pumpkin, carrot and beet powders. You get a hint of hearty flavor, but they definitely don’t taste flavored. I really really love them, but my husband and son weren’t the biggest fans. They were a darling addition to a tailgate baby shower we hosted a couple weeks ago. And, they’re the perfect topper for my Trader Joe’s Fall Chicken Tortilla Soup Recipe!
Fall Harvest Salsa 10/10
It’s delicious. Just buy it.
Pumpkin Biscotti 10/10
Again – delicious. My “fancy” treat with my morning coffee. Perfect size!
Fall Zucchette Pasta 5/10
This is a hard one. I hate to rate any Trader Joe’s product low, but I did title this an “honest review”. While this product is beyond adorable and packaged so well, it just didn’t cook right for us. Parts were still crunchy while other areas were undercooked. BUT, this would make an amazing fall sensory bin for your toddlers!!!
Autumnal Harvest Creamy Pasta Sauce 10/10
If you like sweeter sauces, you will LOVE this one. I sure do! I like to pair with browned sausage for a really hearty fall pasta dish. This is definitely a product I stock up on for later in the year!
Autumnal Harvest Soup 7/10
I was curious if this was just the same as the pasta sauce. It’s not, but very very similar. The soup makes an easy fall lunch, but I felt like I was just eating a bowl of pasta sauce. I added chunks of chicken sausage for protein. It was good, but not something I’d purchase again.
I believe there is also a jarred Pumpkin Soup available. I’ll have to stop back in to find that one to try!
Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookie Mix 9/10
My toddler loves to bake. And, I love baking with my toddler! So an easy way to cut out several steps and still have fall fun is right up my alley. These cookies were incredibly easy to make and baked really well. Make sure you like pumpkin because they sure taste like it! We usually make fall treats to take to our neighbors. But in light of Covid-19, I don’t think that is too appropriate in 2020. We’ll be adding a tag with twine to these canisters to deliver this year!
Gluten Free Pumpkin Pancakes 9/10
Easy and delicious. I love that the recipe is for just 1 cup of mix. I’m the only pumpkin lover in the family, so this allows me my own special batch! Perfect fall weekend breakfast!
